Record handling of iron ore in a single day at DPA, Kandla Port
Deendayal Port, Kandla handled a record export of 60,163 tonnes of iron ore in a single day on the vessel m.v. Royal Award at CJ—9 on 27.05.2023 (0700 hrs on 26.05.2023 to 0700 hrs on 27.05.2023).
Deendayal Port Authority, appreciated the synergy shown by the stevedores M/s. Vardhan Shipping & Logistic, vessel agent Ambica Logistics P. Limited, the exporter Mahakaleshwar Mines & Minerals as well as the port officials in achieving this record.
The vessel berthed/made fast at 0200 hrs on 26.05.2023, loading commenced at 0530 hrs on 26.05.2023 and the total quantity 75,490.000 tonnes was loaded in 39 hours with vessels loading completion at 2030 hrs on 27.05.2023. The vessel was gearless hence the entire cargo was loaded with the help of HMC of Deendayal port
